Physical Description:
Sweets is tall and gangly, at about 6’ and slim. He usually dresses in suits and ties when on the job, but has been known to dress down on occasion. He’s a bit boyish in features, which can put off some of his older patients. He’s got an easy smile and an outgoing personality which makes him approachable and puts people at ease.

Character History (Pre-Veil): Wiki page get!
Post Veil History:
While on his piano man sabbatical, Sweets is walking home from the piano bar and the fog rolls in and ta-da! He’s fallen through the Veil. Landing in Tijuana means he gets to stretch his Spanish skills, and eventually he makes his way across the border to Chula Vista. Getting set up as a psychologist takes more time and money than he actually has, so he elects to use his other marketable skill – music – to help keep him out of trouble and pay the bills. He finds another piano bar to play in and he’s good there for about six months before things start getting weird.
He’s helping close up the bar one night when a GIANT SNAKE PERSON MONSTER happens to invade the bar after falling through the Veil. Sweets, at first, tries to talk the guy down because he’s a psychologist and that’s what he does. (He’ll later find out it’s called a Naga, they’re generally evil, and talking to one is bad, but that’s after he’s an idiot in it’s general direction.) For the most part, he seems to at least distract it, until the other person closing with him happens to stumble back onto the scene. The naga turns on him instantly, and Sweets knows he needs to take matters into his own hands. He finds the baseball bat they keep behind the bar, lets out a loud, unintelligible cry at the top of his longs and runs at the creature, getting ready to beat it with the bat.
Thankfully, that’s when the Knights show up.
The team (Gus, Malina, Alanna and Jaime) dispatch of the creature, without much additional help from Sweets – he mostly focused on helping get his coworker to safety, and when he was finished, he pretty much gushes all over them because man that was cool. It’s somehow, in the process of all that gushing, that he’s brought back to the Knights to see if he could actually be of use. And let’s face it, they all can admit that the castle needs a shrink. Badly. He’s squired to a Knight of Arden’s choosing and does enough missions to get himself promoted into the Dragon’s Light, but at that point he realizes that field work really isn’t for him. He’s just not built for that kind of life and death all the time. He and Wynn both come to the agreement that his skills are better suited for just working in the castle, aside from a few select missions here and there that really need a psychologist. So he sticks around and shrinks the Knights and is pretty happy doing just that!

Personality and Psychology:
One of the first things people probably notice about Sweets is that he’s extremely intelligent. He’s only twenty-five years old and has already completed his doctorate and become a psychologist for the FBI, which means he entered his undergraduate study at the age of fourteen or fifteen. He’s always been smart, and it’s something that he often forgets people don’t see when they look at him, and it’s become a balancing act of being himself, as well as being the professional that people are looking for when they come to him. He tries to balance his intellect by using a lot of common vernacular in his speech, though it can sometimes get too casual for a professional setting. USADA Julian often tells him to use ‘big boy words’ when he’s testifying in court. Also due to his high intelligence, he can push his professional opinion on people without their asking, and has a tendency stick to the fact that he is right, even when doing so is somewhat obnoxious on his part. It’s a tendency that he’s working on, but when you work with a bunch of people that consider your profession a “junk science” even if you helped them in the past, it’s hard to not get defensive about your work. But over time, he’s learned to take a smoother touch, to try and use those personable skills that he has and his coworkers don’t to reason with them, rather than confront them. Still, that doesn’t mean he can’t get defensive on occasion, especially when they accuse him of not knowing what he’s talking about due to his age.
What Sweets wants more than anything else is to find a place to belong. He’s a good person, with a good heart, but as an adopted child (he was adopted by an older couple when he was six years-old), he doesn’t really have a “place” where he knows he belongs, so he’s constantly searching for one. In canon, he’s trying to make that place the Jeffersonian, where he works, but he encounters a lot of friction that way due to his profession and how he interacts with the people around him. He also has shown a great deal of sensitivity towards children who are abused or lost to the system via foster care, due to his own experiences before he was adopted. He has scars on his back from one of his foster homes, and while he doesn’t like to talk about it, he knows that it’s necessary and will automatically go to bat for a child in need. This experience with trauma also is what makes him so good at his job, because he can empathize with people who have been in those situations more so than someone who has simply studied it.
Generally speaking, Sweets is very laid back and easy going. He tries to get along well with most of the people he works with, and to fit in, but at times, due to his age, profession, personality, etc., he’s consistently seen as an outsider, looking in on the happenings in the lab, which really brings to light the nosier end of his personality. He is generally graceful when dismissed, at least when he’s in charge in a professional capacity. He is very good at reading people, however, which makes him an asset to the team as a profiler, and, on occasion, a place to go for support or advice. He tries however, to have his co-workers best interests at heart, regardless of some exceptions that he makes in the name of his own research (i.e., not telling Brennan that Booth wasn’t really dead in the beginning of 316: The Pain in the Heart in order to perform an experiment). Times like that, he can be just as cold and intellectual as the people he surrounds himself with, but these “experiments” usually have good intentions that will further his work with his patients.
He’s also a giant nerd, but that’s fairly self-explanatory.
Memories Retained or Lost:
Sweets is actually going to remember a fair amount, because most of his tragic backstory makes him a better psychologist so I can’t really … justify taking that from him. That being said his memories of his time at the Jeffersonian are going to get a little hazy, because that’s his family and the people he’d want to get back to. He might be able to pull out a fun anecdote every once in a while, but he can’t quite remember the people involved, and most of his days therein are a bit of a blur.
Also, he’s definitely, definitely forgetting Daisy. Even if they were broken up at the time, he’d still want to try and get back to her. But every time he hangs out with Lan’s horse, he’ll get a slight pang that he doesn’t know what to do with, so that’ll be fun.
But that’s okay, because I’m sure he’ll make lots of fun new memories here in the castle to excite and frustrate him.
Powers and Abilities:
No powers, he is a humany human but Sweets is an accomplished psychologist with a good knack for reading people and relating to them on a personal level. He also has a superhuman amount of patience. See: Booth and Brennan.
He also can sing and play the piano. These things are very important.

Why do you think this character would join/work with the Knights?
Because more often than not, Sweets just wants to do good. He wants to help in whatever way he can. It’s why he went to work for the FBI back in his home universe – even if he wasn’t profiling actual bad guys all the time, he was helping to make sure the agents that were chasing them could. That, and what Sweets strives for more than anything else is a family. Even though his memories of the Jeffersonian are hazy, he still remembers how it felt to be a part of them. He would want to join an organization that would give him a chance for that opportunity again, because that’s how his brain works.
Also, he’d get to be a knight. How cool is that?
Do you have a preference for which NPC brought in your character? No NPCs, but the knights on the mission that found him were Gus, Malina, Alanna and Jaime
